One Piece Episode 651
Gats announces Lucy winner of Block C and that Block D will be in fifteen minutes to replace the arena partially destroyed following the fight between Don Chinjao and Luffy. Meanwhile, Cavendish attacks Lucy with his Durandal, under the eyes of the gladiators and Bartolomeo. The latter has tears in his eyes and turns out to be a fanatic of mugiwaras. While he was only a gang leader, he discovered the crew’s journey to Straw Hat making Luffy his idol.
In his flashback, he is seen in Loguetown, with other residents observing Luffy about to be executed by Baggy and vowing to become the King of the Pirates, when lightning strikes down on him, taking that for a sign Of destiny. Then we see Bartolomeo a little younger, watching the newspaper or writing about every crevice, when they have made a bang in Alabasta, Enies Lobby, Impel Down and finally Marineford for Luffy. It is also seen hanging the prizes of the pirates of the Mugiwaras in a room, with a look of admiration.
As he recounts his flashback, he attacks a gladiator with his Bari Bari no Mi and pulls out his tongue, then tells him that it is Monkey D. Luffy who will become the King of the Pirates. Immediately afterwards, he sees Cavendish’s fight against Lucy and is particularly moved to see his idol very close to him. Tears in their eyes, they think he must save Luffy from Cavendish but he is so intimidated that he can not speak. The fight is interrupted when the Chinjao Family arrives because the former commander of the Fleet Happou apparently has a say to Luffy. Contrary to what they were expecting, old Chinjao thanked Luffy for restoring his head and the latter no longer wanted Garp. Luffy leaves by asking what Cavendish and the Chinjao Family wanted of him. He finds refuge under the steps of the Colosseum passing close to Bartolomeo, moved.
As he searches for a safe place, Rebecca calls and takes him out of reach of Cavendish and the others. As they run, Luffy crosses Jesus Burgess calling his captain, Marshall D. Teach via Escargophone. The “Champion” asserts that Shiliew does the same before proceeding by saying that he has no confidence in Aokiji. Then he sees the young rookie near him and informs the emperor. Luffy recalls his meeting with him at Impel Down. Blackbeard continues to talk, indicating that even if Luffy participates in the tournament, his man would win the Ace fruit. He rejoices because it is as if Ace had finally accepted his invitation to return to his crew, which he had refused in the past. Burgess then disappears, looking forward to fighting Luffy.
Rebecca and Luffy continue their journey, but the latter can not help but stop at a food stand. The girl offered him the meal, and while Luffy began to eat in the gladiator quarters the gladiator told her that he could rest quietly here and that his strength was impressive. Suddenly, a man in the shadows grabs Luffy and asks Rebecca to kill him and that is why she brought him here. He later states that she will not be able to achieve her goal until she does. Rebecca quickly goes to the attack, but Luffy frees herself and disarms easily. The gladiator allows Luffy to do whatever he wants of her but the latter will never hurt someone who offered him a meal. The other prisoners said that if they had been able to beat one of the most powerful opponents now, they would have had hope.
Luffy then notices the gladiator-prisoners in cells that reveals their history to them. Since Doflamingo took power, the fighting has become deadly and to become free again they have to win 1000 fights, which no gladiator has the means to do. They claim that they are here only for having dared to rebel a little against the ruling family, and those who try to escape his killed.
Rebecca, on the ground, declares that she will win the tournament of this day, and will kill the king with the fruit offered as a reward. It also reveals that “Soldier-San” has raised an army that will come to save it, and that it is ready to give his life for this kingdom. Not listening to him, she wants to do it before him, and to save him, for this time since he has always watched over her, and that, since his childhood …
